Alas people keep posting CP, well we will keep deleting/banning... following the links and asking the providers to delete those sites/files and submitting the ips to the "authorities" (i wont say who, but its 5+ anti-cp organizations and those can forward it to the real authorities)... and that includes people posting giving encouragement and asking for more... i've streamlined this shit to take me 2 min to do it, so you guys can post fast, i can delete and report your asses just as fast.

Totally agree and we do, everyone that visits tentakle/neechan or any imageboard, should take warning that following any of those links might get you into trouble or your computer infected (by the way use google chrome browser, its pretty kick ass against website infections), even the images themselves might be booby trapped (so if you see them in certain settings they might infect your computer), besides all that, those are fucking children, grow up and get a pair!

Ok i'm making a crosspost between neechan and tentakle ^_^ sooo these are couple of tips around using a imageboard a bit more safely:

1) This is a public site, anyone can post, so don't trust anyone blindly, the staff does check 90% of the links, but it isn't instant, the link you see might have not been checked yet, so take precautions and use your head, especially while going to other sites or downloading stuff.

2) If the post has nothing but a picture with a website address or e-mail on the picture telling you to visit, don't!, trust me, it will never deliver on the promise, it will give you virus, spyware or any number of malware or if you are lucky it will just force you to download stuff with passwords or idiotic stuff.

3) If the post is a real life picture, then its spam, don't trust the link in the post, especially if its a short url or a unknown to you web address.

4) If the post has links and no description, then its most likely shit as well, the same goes if it has a password, just delete that stuff.

5) Please have yourself a good anti-virus (avast, comodo, microsoft security essentials) and good anti-mallware software (mallwarebytes or superantispyware) or use a more secure operating system (like linux), use a safer browser like google chrome (and firefox in a slightly lower grade of security), these will help you keep your computer safer even if you do mess up.

6) Finally, if it doesn't follow the boards rules (the rules are under every form), then you shouldn't trust it as well.

New Rule: Everytime we get any post slightly resembling spam or cp, we will delete/ban/hash block it as usual and lock the board for a random period of time, by locked i mean only tentakle staff can post ^^ sorry but one cp post a day is one too many.

A Bit of News: We are still considering the links to filehosts... hummmm we'll get back at ya, regarding that hehehe.

2 times are not always better than 1, so new rule, no crosslinking, what is crosslinking? it means you post here a link to a filehost and then post the same link to 100 different sites, this means to tentakle, duplicate content and lower quality and basically filehost spamming, i wont ban filehosts, but this kind of low quality linking has to stop, to avoid hiding the link i'm also banning all link re-directors (aka tinyurl clones), so next time you want to put a link on tentakle, make sure its yours, or else delete+ban ^_^

This is effective immediate, let the deleting begin!

As of lately, there is an overwhelming use of tentakle.com (as well as neechan.org) for filehost posting, nothing too problematic but still its here, so kinda always the same posts on the front of the pages with huge amounts of filehost downloads, so what i want to know is what you guys think about it?

Me personally (me as in fiend heheh), humm i don't like it that much, also don't like that the filehosts are uncommon (urrikane.com and megashare.com hummm what?) and with no mirrors, it takes time to download all and check if they are good, still anyways we (the tentakle staff) are not going to start banning and deleting posts just cause we don't like it so much, so we will let our users decide for us on the poll ^_^.oO(oh whatever the result, its not binding, we can change our minds, still it would be helpfull for a decision hahahaha)

It was this that got neechan.org banned from Google, all you freaks don't realize that if you keep abusing sites like tentakle, we will go fully moderated (no posts/pictures will go live unless a moderator checks it first), and that will suck for everyone >_<

txaaa a couple of days after the meltdown we have a new design... what??? hehehe, yeah it was already on the works, anyways ill give a bit of a insight into it ^_^

since we wanted to expand a bit more the boards on tentakle, it would seem proper to give it a face-lift (that and abiguro was bothering me hehehe), this time i wanted to make it a bit more uncomfortable and unpleasant , the first version was goofy and funny just cause that's the way i am, but i feel like giving it a bit more bite will make it more appealing and eerie, and for a more "hardcorish" image boards, it seems more fitting ^_^oO( no worries its still campy and goofy, cant go against my nature )

why does it look half done, well cause... ahhh not too sure if i want to make it too pretty, especially the frontpage (i kinda prefer if there were none, that the main page would be the tentacle board, but the staff prefer a news page... soooo there ya go)

ohh and of course the new boards are:

hardcore / well all kinds of rough or violent hentai, gangbangs and loads of cum kind of stuff hehehe
incest / thats it... not much to say about it, although not many images, there are loads of doujins
abuse / s&m, bongage, wipping, spanking, punishments, anything not too hardcore or bloody (that would be guro)

Yep >_< FAIL!, anyways it was a vulnerability on the soft that runs tentakle, it deleted the admins account, inserted code everywhere, lots of redirects and it hit right smack on my sleep time hehehe, so i guess 12hours wild on tentakle and then 2hours of downtime on tentakle, sorry about that T_T

keeping it short there was an update to fix the vulnerability, like a day or 2 ago, so some script kiddies just used that to make a script to attack, lame, anyways instead of spending this wonderful day fixing it by hand, i just pulled a backup of the files and database and overwrote everything, so some posts might be missing (everything from the last day was deleted, sorryyyyy), good news is that we are back in business, ill try and make tentakle more secure, but some things are inevitable, that's why i have so many backups in the first place, have a yummy day ^^

ps: i working right now on a brand new tentakle, soooo keep your fingers crossed, any ideas or whatever, you all know where to find me heheh
